Today was the official launch of the new South Carolina Organ and Tissue Donor Registry. I had the privilege of photographing the portraits of the recipients and donor family members that are featured on the Every11Minutes.org and DonateLifeSC.org websites and who's photos will be part of a statewide marketing and awareness campaign including brochures that will be in DMV's throughout South Carolina. It was amazing to hear the stories that each of these people had to tell and organ donation is definitely something that we should all think about. One person’s generosity can save up to eight lives through organ donation and enhance the lives of another 50 people through tissue donation and it's so much easier now with South Carolina's online registry!
