The Generals Classic Cheerleading Competition photos are now online. Go to the Generals Classic page on our website for the link to view and order pictures from the competition. The pictures are divided by squads for easier viewing and be sure to also check out the Awards & Crowd Shots gallery...you might just be in some of the photos!
And don't forget about the video! Every performance from this year's competition was professionally videotaped and are included on the DVD. You can order your DVD copy along with your prints. There is even a special photo & video package where you can save money by ordering both! Also, if you participated in last year's Generals Classic, but didn't order a copy of the video, you still have the chance to order last year's competition on DVD. I photographed and Ryan videotaped the Generals Classic Cheerleading Competition at Wade Hampton High School on Saturday. It was a fun change of pace from what we normally do! Here's a sneak peak of some of the shots from the day. All of the photos will be online by Thursday, October 9th. I photographed the Bate triplets again, this time for their 6 month portrait. I first met them when I took their newborn portrait at about 2 months old and they were only at normal birth weight at that time! It's amazing how much these little guys have grown! And it's still amazing how much they look alike! I know, I know...they're identical triplets, they're SUPPOSED to look alike! But when you look at these 3 babies in front of you and feel like you're looking at mirror images, you can't help but be amazed. Thankfully, their different colored outfits help to differentiate them, so that makes it much easier to tell them apart. Since birth, each has had his own individual color...the first born, Chris, has red, the second, Daniel, has green, and last but not least is Nathan who's color is blue. In their first portrait session, their dad pointed out that their color order is RGB, which made it much easier to keep them in order...and it's very important to keep them in the correct order, so that in years to come everyone will know who is who in the pictures because otherwise it would be really difficult to tell which one is which! Lots more to think about for identical triplet portraits than just taking the pictures, but I love a challenge! :-)
Congratulations to the Bates on recently being selected as Angels in Adoption from The Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute. One or more individuals, couples or organizations are selected from each state each year by members of Congress as "Angels in Adoption". Entities are selected for their work in the adoption field, advancement of/assistance to foster kids, etc. 
Here is their story.... Three years ago Jeff and Rebecca adopted a girl, Mary, and late last year sought to adopt a brother for Mary—they got much more than they bargained for! They learned of an opportunity in California to adopt three brothers for Mary—identical triplets. Knowing the daunting circumstances that these three babies and their birth mother were facing and anticipating that the triplets would come early, Rebecca flew out to Los Angeles, while Jeff stayed home with 2 year old Mary. Rebecca showed great courage and tenacity in facing all she did in an overwhelming and unknown city, encouraging the process along. In addition, her handling of the prenatal and neonatal care of the triplets (they came 8 weeks early) with the help and encouragement of her husband is amazing and an inspiration. After the babies spent four weeks in the Neonatal ICU, Jeff and his mom flew to California to bring the three boys home. The triplets are now growing and happily settled into their new home in Anderson with a wonderful new family and radically different opportunities than those Rebecca and Jeff rescued them from in L.A.
I met Marcie & Chris downtown for their engagement session during their visit to Greenville a few weeks ago. They live in DC and I have to say that I think Marcie has one of the coolest jobs ever...she works at the Smithsonian Institute...how cool is that?! Marcie, I'll be taking you up on your offer of a personal tour if we ever make it there for a vacation! :-) It was great meeting you guys and I'm looking forward to the wedding coming up just around the corner in October!

I first met this little guy when I took his portrait at 4 months old and it's hard to believe how quickly another 4 months has gone by! It's so fun to see babies grow and change and I just love Sebastian's calm demeanor and sweet smile.

I took Sarah's 1 year portrait just before her birthday and have finally gotten her slideshow done. It's hard to believe it's been a year since I took this picture of her during her newborn portrait session!
I've been looking forward to sharing these pictures of this little cutie at one year old! I posted some of them for her birthday on July 1st. Here are the rest of my favorites from her portrait session.
